HP Rp. 1 Million, Review Realme Narzo 30A – Realme Narzo 30A is the first cellphone launched by Realme in Indonesia this year. This entry level phone boasts a large battery and the Mediatek Helio G85 chipset which is suitable for gaming at a price of IDR 1 million.
So how is the performance in everyday use? Is the affordability of the Realme Narzo 30A worth it? Come on, take a look at the following reviews.
Like most entry level phones, Realme Narzo 30A has a body wrapped in plastic. But Realme provides a few touches that make the design stand out even more.
Two-thirds of the back is decorated with diagonal lines which at first glance look wavy. This section also has a striped texture which makes the phone less slippery and more firm in your hand.
This phone body is quite thick and heavy because it has to load a large battery. But this phone is still comfortable to hold thanks to the curved frame design of the cellphone.
The rear camera of the Realme Narzo 30A is arranged in a box-shaped module which at first glance consists of three rear cameras and one flash. But this design is quite deceptive because it actually only has two rear cameras, and the other circle is a dummy with the words ‘AI’.
On the back of the cellphone there is also a fingerprint sensor which works quite responsively. It is better if the position of the fingerprint sensor is slightly lowered so that it is easier to reach by users with short fingers.
Realme places the power and volume buttons on the right side, and the SIM and microSD card slots on the left. At the bottom of the phone is a USB-C port, a speaker and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Realme Narzo 30A screen uses a water drop notch design to place the front camera. The screen is quite spacious with a diagonal of 6.5 inches and a 20: 9 ratio, even though it has a pretty thick bezel at the bottom.
With an HD + screen resolution, Realme Narzo 30A can display video content with mediocre quality. YouTube video quality is stuck at 1080p and Netflix can only play SD quality videos.
To complete the multimedia experience, this phone is equipped with one speaker at the bottom. The quality is quite satisfying, even though it is a little shrill once the video or music volume is raised.
Realme Narzo 30A uses the Mediatek Helio G85 chipset which is intended for gaming. The unit we reviewed is equipped with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory. If it is still lacking, there is a microSD slot that supports up to 256GB.
To test this innards, we tried to play two games, namely PUBG Mobile and Genshin Impact. Playing PUBG Mobile can only be done with HD graphics and High frame rates, but this game can be played smoothly and without lag
It’s different when playing Genshin Impact. Even with the lowest graphics quality the game feels very heavy and stuttering often occurs. This is actually natural because Genshin Impact requires high specifications so that it can be played optimally.
But overall, Realme Narzo’s performance is sufficient for daily activities. Multitasking and switching applications can be done smoothly.
We also tested the Realme Narzo 30A in a benchmark application to see its performance on paper. The following are the test results in the AnTuTu, Geekbench and PCMark applications.
To support its performance, Realme Narzo 30A is equipped with a battery with a large capacity of 6,000 mAh. In testing, this battery life was extraordinary and difficult to spend in a day.
The battery that is still full in the morning is still around 40% at night after being used to watch videos, play games and access social media.
Recharging the battery is possible with 18W fast charging. Due to the large capacity of the battery, the charging duration takes around 2.5 hours. But fortunately this large battery keeps the phone from needing frequent recharging.
Realme Narzo 30A runs the Android 10 operating system wrapped in Realme UI. The interface is easy to operate and has many useful features, including the Super Power Saving Mode, which can save power to an extreme by limiting the features of the phone.
Unfortunately, this phone contains many built-in applications, some of which often provide annoying notifications every day. Some of these default applications can be deleted, but some are not. Fortunately, applications with nagging notifications can be muted easily.
Realme Narzo 30A is equipped with two rear cameras consisting of a 13 MP main camera and a 2 MP depth sensor. For taking selfies, there is an 8 MP front camera.
The main camera catches are pretty good for a cellphone in its class, especially when taking photos in sufficient light. There is a special night mode for taking photos in low light conditions, but the performance is not that satisfying.
Talking about night mode, Realme includes three cool filters, namely Cyberpunk, Flamingo and Modern Gold. If used properly, these filters can create beautiful and aesthetic photos to post on social media.
The depth sensor provided is pretty good at isolating objects and providing minimal blur. Here are some photos taken using Realme Narzo 30A.
With a price of Rp 1,899,000, Realme Narzo 30A is fairly multitalented. With the Helio G85 chipset, 4GB RAM and 6,000 mAh battery, this phone is suitable for those who are looking for affordable gadgets with no ‘potato’ specifications.
Supporting features are also adequate, such as a pretty good camera, a responsive fingerprint sensor and an attractive design. In essence, Realme Narzo 30A is suitable for those who like to spend hours without having to worry about running out of battery.…
